In the summer months I took an art class. I learned about the cave paintings in Altamira to Pop Art all the way to the 90’s it was intense but interesting. I have never put a painting on the wall of any of the places I’ve lived…but I think it’s time to change that. On Friday I went to the […]
Before you start reading I want to clarify that I do not judge people on their physical appearance. If you are happy with the way you look then that’s all that matters. My number is 186.8… I never thought I would share my weight with the world but yeah I currently weight 186.8 lb. For some reason, since I became […]
First of all today is THANKSGIVING in 🇨🇦! As humans there are things we all would like to change and that’s okay. However, in the past I’ve let somethings dampen my happiness. I will not go into details because they are very personal things but is time to accept certain aspects of who I am. I spent years hating parts […]
This isn’t an easy topic to write about, no one wants to admit that they are wrong and I’m not the exception. I need to be honest with all of you. I’ve been struggling with the amount of food I eat for the past two years. The Background: With all my pregnancies I’ve struggle with morning sickness ( I call […]
The countdown has begun, in 30 days I will be 30 years old. My 20’s were all about becoming a mother and a wife. This means that in the last decade I have not invested in my self as much. So my 30’s are going to be about growth and change while continuing my journey as a mother and a wife. I came up with many ideas, I chose 30 things that I would like to either accomplish, re-introduce and try in my life. I won’t call it a bucket list because my bucket list is mostly travelling around the world. This is my 30 before 30 list. Start a Blog Get those tattoos I’ve put off for years No Social Media for a day (Hubby will be posting on that day) Go Vegan for a day Loose 8 lb Water fast for a day Introduce a 15 min HIIT work out twice a week Review a product/products Read the Psalm book Reorganize my (our) closet No Netflix for a day ( I watch an episode of The Office a day) Spa Day Get in the habit of waking up at 6:00 a.m. Monday to Friday Try some Korean BBQ (I’ve been wanting to try it for the last 15 years! It has been 2 years since my last post. What have I been doing for the last two years? Hubby and I planned for a third child. We got triplets. So next time you are anxious and stressed about something.. remember you can plan all you want but at the end there isn’t much you can control!
The other day, I was wondering why do I love travelling so much? and then I started to look back into my my quarter of a century life. I was born in Bogota, Colombia but grew up in a city 3 hours Southeast of Bogota. My mom’s family lived in Bogota while my dad’s family lived in small towns near where I grew up. I remember we were always going on a road trips to visit a family members at least 2 hours away. This was about 3 to 4 times a month for 12 years…. The longest road trips we took by car was in 94 and 95. We went from Bogota to Santa Marta. The drive is anywhere from 16 hours to 20 hours. Even though I was 5 I remember those trips as if we went yesterday. We visited Medellin, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cartagena and a ton of other little towns. The highlights for me on the trip were: -Listening to Pastor Lopez music (Colombian folklore music) -Seeing the “Zona Bananera” ( the region of Colombia were bananas are produced). The “Zona Bananera has been one of the most beautiful scenery I have seen to date. – The beaches of Santa Marta – Looking out the window and admiring the ever changing landscape ( we went from Bogota that is 8,8660 feet from sea level to Santa Marta that is 20 ft from sea level) -The “patacones con […]
