Since I had my 1st child years ago I started a memory book that contains mementos of my child’s pregnancy and birth. The triplets memory book was a challenged. I decided to go with the .. each child gets one memory book. I’ll be the first one to admit it… this isn’t my best work. I wanted to get all […]

I was 15 years old the first time I heard about Korean BBQ… it took another 15 years for me to make it to a Korean BBQ restaurant. I took my sister who is visiting from Colombia while my husband took care of the kids. The verdict on Korean BBQ….. I LOVE IT! We had beef, chicken, calamari, fish and […]

I got new Cookware Set

The first cookware set I bought it was from Walmart. The second was a gift from my parents and it lasted 8 years. Last week I bought what I call my first “grown up” cookware set. I spent around 2 hours doing some research. I looked for online and in-store deals. I came across the brand Paderno. The brand is […]

Donation – B

A person I love has been battling leukemia for over a year. Blood transfusions have been a life line for them. Now is time to give back. I feel that is important to clear one thing… this post isn’t for praise. This post is to bring awareness to the importance of donating blood. The process is very smooth. You get, […]

Plastics

For the past 15 years the term “Global Warming” or “Climate Change” has been used a lot. Some people say is happening, others say is fear mongering.  I’m not here to debate whether is real or not. What I want to do is to be more conscious about my daily choices and how they affect other beings. Growing up, I was introduced to the importance of preserving the ecosystem and learned some things that I could do to help the environment as well as people. Even after that, it wasn’t until the year 2011 when I started to recycle, throw food scraps in the waste and garbage in the garbage bin. I still don’t do enough, but I have pick up some habits to reduce the amount of garbage we produce. I love to use straws, so what I do is reuse straws. I wash them with soap and water, air dry it and put them in a container so they don’t get damaged. Yes, In Ontario, Canada we use bagged milk, the amount of single use plastic in the package is embarrassing. As a family we have cut back on the consumption of cow milk. At the grocery store we found bottled organic milk. The milk is expensive, for 1 litre we pay $6.00 CAD plus tax. There are 7 of us, that means we would need 2 bottles a day of milk. We like to bake a lot […]

What’s your number?

Before you start reading I want to clarify that I do not judge people on their physical appearance. If you are happy with the way you look then that’s all that matters. My number is 186.8… I never thought I would share my weight with the world but yeah I currently weight 186.8 lb. For some reason, since I became […]

30 Before 30

The countdown has begun, in 30 days I will be 30 years old. My 20’s were all about becoming a mother and a wife. This means that in the last decade I have not invested in my self as much. So my 30’s are going to be about growth and change while continuing my journey as a mother and a wife. I came up with many ideas, I chose 30 things that I would like to either accomplish, re-introduce and try in my life. I won’t call it a bucket list because my bucket list is mostly travelling around the world. This is my 30 before 30 list. Start a Blog Get those tattoos I’ve put off for years No Social Media for a day (Hubby will be posting on that day) Go Vegan for a day Loose 8 lb Water fast for a day Introduce a 15 min HIIT work out twice a week Review a product/products Read the Psalm book Reorganize my (our) closet No Netflix for a day ( I watch an episode of The Office a day) Spa Day Get in the habit of waking up at 6:00 a.m. Monday to Friday Try some Korean BBQ (I’ve been wanting to try it for the last 15 years! Get a painting from a local artist for the leaving room Decorate the dinning room (there is nothing on the walls of our main floor) Recycle all the cans […]
