Bread

How many times have you heard that eating bread is bad? I’ve heard this since I was about eight. I think I heard it on tv. Hearing that caused me to internalize it and an unhealthy relationship of guilt after enjoying some toast or a croissant was born. Yes, over eating bread can cause serious health issues. So is over […]

June is for Breakfast

Growing up in the tropics was one of the most wonderful experiences so far. Besides my family what I miss the most is the heat, rain, and humidity. I love Canada but I’m not too fond of the weather. Cake: All about perspective

On Easter Sunday T and I made a delicious cake. It was made from scratch, we mastered the food coloring, the texture was fluffy, the taste on point and the frosting was sweet! Since the cake turned out so well, T and I decided to bake his birthday cake. I went to the grocery store for our weekly shopping trip and bought all the ingredients for our cake. T wanted a Oreo cake. I looked at various recipes but I couldn’t decide what to do. So I just decided to follow one recipe for the cake and one for the frosting.
