Kids & Winter Par 4

Late night post, we must talk about winter boots! As with everything else, there are hundreds of boots to choose from and that means it can get a bit over whelming to choose the right boots. My kids have used, a Wal-Mart brand because I’m not spending more than $30 on a pair of boots for a 2 year old. […]

Kids & Winter Part 3

Hello Everyone Today I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned when it comes to snow pants. Babies and toddlers don’t need to wear snow pants or suits unless you are going for a walk, playing in the snow or spending time outdoors. I have not bought the triplets snow pants, they are not practical at the moment so I just decided to forgo that purchase. There are two types of snow pants I prefer. The first one is with straps for toddler and up to 7 year old. The second one is just the ones you button at the waist. My 8 year old (soon to be 9) has not wear his snow pants this winter so far. My preferred brand for snow pants is Carters Oshkosh because they sale the snow pants and jacket as a bundle. Make sure the snow pants are warm but light weight! If is not too cold outside I’ve used water proof sweatpants on top of the regular sweatpants When I had my first child, I bought him an adorable Winnie The Pooh snow suit… he wore it once and my second child wore it twice. With my second child I spent $100 on a snow suit … he wore it once and the triplets wore it once each… I know we are tempted to buy our bundles the best but sometimes we get carried away and end up with staff that becomes useless. I […]

Yesterday

Hello Everyone Yesterday morning was more chaotic than usual but we made it through. The surprise of the day happened when I was at the bus stop waiting for my oldest kid (Kids go to different schools so I drive). The bus wasn’t showing up.. it was about 10 minutes late. I see a parent whose kid is on the […]

With the kids

Be prepared to be interrupted at least 5 times within a 2 minute expand which is what is happening as I write this… In my experience you need patience and more than usual when you are travelling with your little ones. Also be prepared but do not freak out if the plan you had come up with to entertain ย them ย goes out the window because it most likely will. Try to keep them awake at least 2 hours before you are travelling (specially by plane). Ideally walk with them at least once in a period of 2 hours, this way they are able to burn a bit of energy. Hubby and I have choose to travel by car most of the times because of the flexibility the mode of transportation (you are able to stop at any rest stop and if needed change your plans). We all know the stares people give you with a screaming infant or toddler in a crowded airplane and we just like to avoid that if possible. The following is ย a list of objects that I have found useful when travelling by car, bus or plane Bring snacks Cereals, chewy bars, trail mix, chips Apple and baby carrots (usually there is no leakage and they do not get spoiled as fast) Candy yes try lollipops or their favorite chocolate bar Entertainment Crayons and activity book Story book Stickers Post it notes Tablets with a ton […]
