The Colorful Fruits
There is nothing better than a full bowl of colorful freshly cut fruits on a sweltering summer morning. I have kids so that is currently in my dream cabinet. For now, I need to compromise on my dream bowl of fruits for breakfast until all the kids can help around the kitchen.
Here are a few things I’ve learned:
Avoid fruits that came in plastic packaging. Fruits that are prepacked tend to have a greater spoilage rate than individual fruits.
Choose a couple of different types for fruits. For example, today I used a whole melon as the main fruit on each plate, and an apple and 7 strawberries to give it a bit of color.
Remember to cut the melon in half and scoop out the seeds. Cut it in smaller pieces, about 5 inches wide and this would allow you to cut the skin off. I used strawberries because of their soft texture the kids can help cutting them.

My goal with every meal isn’t perfection, my goal is to serve nutritious yet simple meals that are kid and adult approved!
