During the last two weeks, we have been closely following the situation in the United States. We are not citizens, but we have a special place for the U.S.A. in our hearts. However, racism and police brutality continue to shatter the lives of Black people, Indigenous peoples and POC in the U.S.A., Canada through out the world. We hadn’t understood many things until we saw the video of Mr. George Floyd’s murder. It was an inhumane act and we will not ignore it. As a white Latinx/Indian family we will continue to learn and check our privileges. We will support the ongoing decolonization of our minds and society.
